More than capacity vehicles ply the capital's roads a mess

Kathmandu Valley
only one thousand 5 hundred 94 km roads are in operation in which most
of the roads are not pitched.
According to the last statistic report of Transportation Management
Department 7 lakh 75 thousand vehicles are running on the roads of
Kathmandu Valley including small and big vehicles. As the government
gave a permission to operate vehicles more than its capability, roads of
Kathmandu Valley are moving towards in the stranded form day by day.
Around 12 hundreds numbers of traffic police are implemented on the
roads though traffic management could not be convenient said Lokendra
Bahadur Malla, the SP (Superintendent of Police) of Metropolitan Traffic
Police Office. SP Malla even said that in several places they have
imposed traffic police fro the management of traffic problem on the road
ad to make the passengers and drivers convenience.
