Two persons have gone missing in the Phewa Lake in Pokhara after a boat overturned on Monday afternoonSix persons, including boat driver, were rescued by security personnel after receiving the information about the mishap that took place in the middle of the Phew Lake.The boat was returning to the Lake Side from the other side of Phewa Lake with seven passengers and boat driver aboard.Police said the visitors had not used life jacket, while made the rescue operation difficult.
All the visitors come to Pokhara from Kathmandu.Those who are missing are identified as Prateek Shrestha (19) of Chakrapath and Alien KC (23) of Basundhara.
Police said Saugat Shrestha (19) of Chakrapath, Roshan Neupane of Basundhara, Samrat Gautam (20) of Chakrapath, Deepak Neupane (31) of Chakrapath, Bidur Dhital (36) of Hetaunda, Makawanpur, and boat driver Ganga Basnet (30) of Sindhuli were rescued and sent to the Gandaki Medical College for treatment.Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed for the search and rescue operation.
